Coastal crafts shall not be permitted to operate within the territorial waters unless the Owner or master of such crafts possesses a Coastal Craft Licence issued by Virgin Islands Shipping Registry (VISR)

 “Coastal Craft”   means pleasure vessels in BVI waters except:

(a)     canoes and other open boats not exceeding 15 feet (4.6 metres)  in length;

(b)    canoes and open boats used solely for the purpose of fishing;

(c)     un-decked vessels belonging to vessels in respect of which a license is in force and used as a ship’s boat;

(d)    Visiting vessels remaining in the Territory not exceeding three months; and

(e)     Pleasure vessels engaged in commercial operations and certified under Blue Code and Yellow Code
